Tumelo Ramaphosa encourages Cassper to fight in a boxing match

by Sergio Miller

Following his involvement in some celebrity boxing matches in the past, the services of the Mama I Made It hitmaker Cassper Nyovest were once again required.

This comes after prominent businessman Tumelo Ramaphosa, son of the South African president Cyril Ramaphosa challenged the rapper to participate in a boxing match at a celebrity boxing tournament.

According to news and entertainment publication The South African, Tumelo’s company Studex has partnered with the International Boxing Association for the Mandela African Boxing Cup in an event that will see over 450 boxers go head-to-head against each other.

Cassper is no stranger to fighting on the squared platform having previously fought against Slik Talk, Naak Musiq as well as Priddy Ugly.

With his current success rate above average, Tumelo is reportedly eager to put the re-invented spiritual Cassper back in the ring again.

“Cassper, I challenge you and I am calling you out to come and fight Njilo,” said Tumelo.

Phumlani Njilo, a Christian himself, successfully defeated rapper Big Zulu in an exhibition match last year.

According to The South African, he is willing to put his belt on the line for his next opponent.

The competition is organised by the IBA, African Boxing Confederation and South African Boxing Organisation and was named the inaugural Nelson Mandela Boxing Cup, after our country’s first democratic president with his family’s permission.

Meanwhile, the event is scheduled to take place from 15 to 21 April at the Durban International Convention Centre.
