TS Galaxy players aboard team bus involved in accident

While on their way to Mbombela Stadium for their game against Mamelodi Sundowns, TS Galaxy players and staff were involved in a collision with a VW Polo, resulting in the death of the car’s driver.

According to reports, the TS Galaxy representatives aboard the team bus survived the fatal accident – which occurred on the N4/Schoemanskloof Road – with minor injuries.

As per ZiMoja, an eyewitness told the publication that the players were visibly shocked and in disbelief after surviving the accident.

TS Galaxy has not yet released a statement regarding the accident or loss of life. However, many on social media shared their comments of support and condolences.

One social media user shared that the team should not ask for the match to be postponed as nobody on the team was injured. The person added, “If they want to talk about trauma then they should know that Mamelodi Sundowns FC played when [Anele] Ngcongca and [Motjeka] Madisha passed away and @OfficialPSL refused us postponements.”
