The South African comedian Trevor Noah and American singer Dua Lipa were spotted hanging out in New York City at East Village restaurant, sparking dating rumours between the two. The news left the internet into a media frenzy.
According to Page Six, which confirmed that the spot was Trevor’s choice, and it was “definitely a date.”
The pair were dressed in casual date night clothes, Trevor wearing an olive green jacket and a loose cut black pants. Dua Lipa had on a black leather jacket over large denim jeans, and a pair of leopard print heels below.
According to Elle, the hitmaker appears to be “smitten” with the Daily Show host, they re still only in the very “early stages” of the dating process. They were however, spotted sitting close together as they enjoyed their meals, then out walking and even hugging. One photo appeared to show the pair sharing a kiss. They did apparently go home separately, and the source suggested that the image of a smooch was more likely a “maybe a corner lips kiss.”
“There is definitely interest on both ends,” Elle reported.
However, according to People, Trevor and Dua Lipa are “just friends,” despite the dating rumours and photographs which were taken of the two leaving the jamaican restaurant.
Many reports suggest that Dua Lipa broke things off with Anwar Hadid in December last year. With People, reporting that“Dua Lipa and Anwar are currently taking a break from their relationship and are spending time apart. They’re figuring things out right now.”But it appears they have not come back together.
Meanwhile Trevor broke up with his actress girlfriend Minka Kelly in May of this year after sharing an on-again and off-again relationship since 2020. According to People, Kelly had a good attitude about the split, saying, “She is very happy. She’d rather be single than waste her time with the wrong guy.”
