The late AKA’s father, Tony Forbes recently put in writing an earnest message on his socials in remembrance of his son in over a year since he tragically passed away.

The slain rapper, Kiernan Jared Forbes was gunned down and killed while he was in Durban, in February last year, alongside his friend, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane.

Taking to his Instagram page, Tony shared a picture of him wearing an AKA t-shirt, standing alongside the slain rapper’s image. He captioned his post: “Don’t worry boy, you and I will sing together like we talked… I promise it’s Friday again, and I miss you more than ever. It hurts so much, I wonder what you are doing now, who you are with, did you remember to wish Ma and Pa a Happy Birthday and what you want to say to me? So many questions come to me.”

Taking to the comment section, Instagram users shared their heartfelt messages.

An angry user said, “May the killer of Kiernan not enter December this year.”

Another one said, “Grieving is worse, you think you have made peace; some day you crumble down like you have just heard.. Be strong pops.”

Another one said, “We all miss him Tymer (father), rest assured Kiernan touched all our lives and he’ll live on forever through his music.”

Meanwhile mother of late rapper, Lyn Forbes also took to her Instagram to share her visit to AKA’s grave a while ago.

In her caption she wrote, visiting AKA’s dream has become an easier thing to do. She also shared that it brings her comfort, grounds her and gives her peace at the same time.
