Parenting a teenager can be quite an overwhelming journey for many parents. DJ Tira is also popularly known as Makoya Bearings and is a South African deejay and producer, a father of four and is on the path of fathering his second son who has just entered the teenage phase.

While Tira is prominently known for his love and contribution to the music entertainment industry, the love he has for his family remains untouched. In an interview with Media24, Tira shared “I love to take care of my family; they always hold me down.”

The public figure shares that despite that he appears as a cool dad and a generally calm person, he takes his parenting role quite seriously as he wants to ensure that he raises responsible and respectful individuals.

“I’m calm, but I don’t take nonsense. My problem is a good heart; when my kids ask me for permission to visit friends or whatever, I will easily say yes, but it’s actually their mother who holds the keys,” Tira further shared with Media24.

Tira mentioned that while parenting may not have a manual script, it remains quite crucial for him to be someone that his children can look up to.

The music producer and his wife Gugu Khathi are parents to their eldest boy Junior, the second boy, Chase and their only girl Chichi.

His older son Tank is already an adult which means Tira at least has some form of experience on what it is like to raise a teenage boy child. Welcoming his second son to teenagerhood, Tira took to Instagram to share:

“First day as a teen ? what advice can you give him? @kiingchase1.”

Chase’s mom responded and said “Don’t forget to Pray ?? ❤️.”

“Proverbs 9:10: The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God,” commented fellow artist Cassper Nyovest.
A netizen took time to state, “Carve your own Lane…but use your Dads work ethic as a benchmark.”
