TikTok viral: Bokkie shows just how ready we are for the final

After the final whistle on Saturday evening, many would imagine that the Springboks would take an extra few days off to recover their bruised bodies ahead of the ultimate showdown on the rugby calendar.

However, on Sunday TikTokers discovered that this was not the case and that nothing would stop us from coming home with the William Web Ellis Cup.

In a viral TikTok video posted by @Ukooster our national animal proved exactly why we are the defending world champions.

In the caption which read, “Time of the final warm-up,” the video shows our national animal proudly wearing the South African flag around its neck while doing what resembles training drills.

In a typical match day situation, the Springbok could be seen exiting its owner’s house similar to how the team exits the stadium tunnel while jubilant songs are sung in the background. As he draws closer to the grass, he soon explodes onto the field, takes a quick sprint to absorb the atmosphere, and begins sidestepping some trees a few moments later.

Like our Springbok speedsters Cheslin Kolbe, Kurt–Lee Arendse, and Makazole Mapimpi, this Bok did not hold back on showcasing his agile abilities when the moment required it, and in the process received loads of praise in the comment section.

These were some of the comments:

One person wrote: “This Springbok is as active as Faf??????????????????.”

A second user commented: “???? Nah why is the springbok a paid actor? Cause he ate that! ???.”

Another compared the Bok our famous number #14 saying: “CHESLIN KOLBE this one ???.”

Meanwhile another suggested that this springbok should be brought onto the field when the All Blacks perform their Haka.
