Metro FM’s Touch Down host and media personality Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe expressed his distaste at the city of Johannesburg over loadshedding that was meant to last for 26 hours in certain parts of the city.
This was shared on an X (formerly known as Twitter) post with the city tagged.
Load shedding has affected most of us badly with some small businesses having had to close shop due to its effects.
The government has promised that load shedding will be a thing of the past, even going as far as appointing Kgosientsho Ramokgopa to head up matters relating to electricity as the Minister of Electricity.
Taking to his X, the father of two expressed his annoyance at the load shedding lengthy hours which were set for areas such as Saxonworld, Houghton, Forest town, Killarney and a few others.
He captioned his post:
“This is insane 26 hours of load shedding, @CityofJoburgZA @CityPowerJhb what’s going on from Forest town, Killarney, Saxonwold, Houghton, Westcliff, The Parks not a single apology or update????WTH.”

A screengrab of the X post was also shared on Instagram by the media personality getting many reactions from social media personalities who commented:
“If the ANC does to you what the apartheid government did to you, you do to the ANC what you did to the apartheid government.”
One user shared that 26 hours was nothing compared to what they go through in the township adding:
“Just because you pay more money you expect to be treated differently, I am here at Tembisa it’s been 14 days without electricity and water.”
