The late Nelson Mandela’s great grandson, Mayibuye Mandela recently visited the Podcast and Chill sharing his views on government’s involvement in his family’s private matters and voicing his opinion on the men who marry Mandela women and take their surnames.

Expected to arrive with his cousin brother Mbuso Mandela, Mayibuye who is the son of Nelson Mandela’s sister stated that his mother and father is Zanda Phewa Baliwe did not let anything stand in the way of what he wanted to say.

When asked what his opinion was on the men who marry Mandela women and take the Mandela surname, a very energetic and outspoken Mayibuye responded:

“Those are fools, you must know they are not husbands. They are cleaners.”

Speaking about the neglected Mandela house in Houton, Johannesburg, he commented:

“I don’t want to come publicly and say the Mandela’s need funding to help the house.”

Saying some things that did not make sense, Mayibuye added:

“Who is this fool? Zizi Kodwa went to court for my grandmother Makaziwe it must be the paraffin speed that he does.”

He went further to state that the family home was the Mandela Trust’s responsibility which was ran by the likes of Judge Dikgang Moseneke, Gcina Malindi and many others.

Speaking of the incompetency of the Mandela trust and its inability to take care of the struggle veteran’s home, Mayibuye added:

“These people are not embarrassing themselves; they are embarrassing the family name.

He went on to speak about Minister of Sports Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa, adding:

“You see this boy called Zizi Kow who wears spectacles (I wish I could give him a klap). He runs around like a fool telling someone that belongs to the family what to do with a family matter. He can’t come with the paraffin speed that he took my grandmother Makaziwe to court with, instead of saying, family, can you talk among yourself and solve the issue.”
