Actress, producer and presenter Thembisa Mdoda recently shared the news that she would be hosting the reunion of the Showmax reality show, The Mommy Club.

The Mommy Club is a drama packed reality show that follows the everyday lives of five glamorous Johannesburg based moms. According to Showmax – a South African online subscription platform that is owned by Multichoice – these glamorous moms take on the journey of modern parenting with the assistance of their nannies.

Walking us through the first season of their rich and glamorous lives were media personalities such as Happy Simelane, Mpumi Mophatlane, Tshego Manche, Nunurai Mudarikwa and Ratile Mabitsela. According to Media 24 – South African media company – between these 5 moms and influencers are “15 children who are looked after by 13 nannies.”

Like any other South African reality show, the ladies take us through the fun times and showcase their shopping experiences, dates and high class events that they host. As viewers, we witness the heartfelt conversations and bonds between the nannies, mommies and the children of this show.

While many were intrigued on knowing how these proclaimed business moguls accumulate their wealth, the question still remains unknown as the show lacked that crucial part of reality. Instead the reality show revealed to the nation that these high profile moms are like any other everyday moms who encounter life with obstacles and friendship dramas.

Unloading on all the drama and betrayals that took place in season one is Thembisa Mdoda.

The reunion of this show is set to air on the 5th of December on Showmax.
