
Education is important, and despite their spot in the limelight, a number of celebrated personalities who entertain us on the TV screens and on radio have interesting and impressive qualifications under their belts.
Some of the celebrities that we have grown to love have also become our role models based on the characters they play on TV soapies, the kind of music they make and the programs they present on TV and radio.
Here is a reveal of some of the celebrities and their hard-earned qualifications.
1. South African rapper, Mzayifani Boltina popularly known as Ifani Haymani has an honours degree in Computer Science and in Computer Engineering. The Ewe hitmaker is renowned as a singer, songwriter and rapper.
2. Actress Phindile Gwala who is known for roles she played on Uzalo and Muvhango, graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce qualification from the Management College of South Africa (Mancosa), with a whooping 10 distinctions.
3. Actress and screenwriter, Nolwazi Shange also obtained her hard-earned bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications from Wits University. The former Scandal! actress obtained her degree in May 2023.
4. South African DJ, Tlou Cleopas Monyepau, popularly known as DJ Cleo inspired many when he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Wits University. He proved that education has no age limit, when he graduated at the age of 45.
5. Muvhango actress Innocentia Makapila, who is known for her role as ‘Rendani Mukwevho’, holds a honours degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Johannesburg.
