The Mommy Club stars share must-know tips to new season stars

by Samantha Mochele

The Mommy Club is a reality show that follows glamorous Jozi mom influencers as they juggle the demands of parenting and the competitive world of “it moms.”

The cast has included Hermajesty, Mrs Mops, Nunurai, and Ratile, with Mrs Sande and Nozipho Ntshangase who will all be joining in season 2.

The second edition, The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice, is set to premiere on Showmax on August 8. This season will spotlight affluent mothers within Durban’s Indian community and their extended families, including grandparents, godmothers, and siblings.

To welcome the new cast members to the world of reality television, Showmax sought advice from the seasoned stars of The Mommy Club. Here’s what they had to say:

Her Majesty: “For me, it is pretty straightforward. I believe that the ladies need to fully be themselves, I am fully myself, and that is how people connect with me. By being yourself and showing up authentically, you attract like-minded people, and the world will just have to adjust to who you are.”

Mrs Mops: “My advice to the new mommies is for them to know why they are on the show. Authenticity is key, so be yourself at all times and enjoy the process. Being in The Mommy Club is a privilege and it comes with a lot of perks.”

Nunurai: “My advice to the new ladies is to keep it cute and fun, and when you have to, read a b****. Do not let anyone walk all over you. Every single time something happens, address it in real-time and do not wait for the reunion because you might be taken out of context.”

Ratile: “First of all, they should have fun with the show, they should be authentic, and they should definitely bring the glam.”

This new season will introduce new faces to the reality TV scene, namely Abigail Nepaul (41), Asharia Parsad (27), Christina Devraj (26), Devina Knowles (43), Kim Jones (33), Lenore (45), Neetasha (36), and twins Losh and Resh Naidoo (45).
