After taking to social media to reveal his engagement to his partner Mel Ntsala, marking his seventh attempt at walking down the aisle, leading one to believe that the M in his surname might just stand for ‘marriage’.
At the age of 60, Lebo Morake boasts about being one of South Africa’s most notable producers and composers. Among others, he is best known for his contributions to Disney’s legendary The Lion King film and numerous stage productions.
Outside of his meaningful work in the entertainment industry, Lebo has garnered a reputation for his fearlessness when it comes to commitment in his romantic relationships. It appears that the award-winning composer dates with the purpose and intention to see things all the way through in all of his relationships, as he has been married four times and engaged twice before.
Marriages
With the high number of public relationships, the exact number of marriages and divorces is sometimes exaggerated by the public, usually for entertainment purposes. As a result, Lebo took to Mac G’s Podcast and Chill to clarify that despite popular belief, he has only been married four times.
Viveca Gipson
In the early 80s, Lebo married his first wife, an American comedian by the name of Viveca Gipson for approximately five years. The couple had two children, Nthabiseng and Zakiya, before going their separate ways with a divorce.
Nandi Ndlovu
Up next, the composer met singer and actress Nandi Ndlovu during production for the Mzansi classic film Sarafina. In 1992, the couple tied the knot, and enjoyed approximately 11-15 years of their union, and went on to share three children. The cause of their divorce was not confirmed, however, it garnered allegations of infidelity, while some believe the death of their young son played a significant role.
Angela Ngani-Casara
Lebo’s relationship with Angela Ngani-Casara can be best described as interesting, as it was marked by a few trips down the aisle, as the couple divorced and remarried a few times. Their first marriage came in 2008 and lasted about five years, during which the couple had a daughter. In 2016, the couple remarried and divorced a year later, while their third attempt at the nuptials failed in 2020.
Pretty Samuels
In 2022, Lebo entered what would be his shortest mariage with Pretty Samuels, whom he would divorce within a year. The couple’s split was a controversial one, as Lebo cited fraud allegation, however refused to discuss any details publicly.
Engagements
Unfortunately for Lebo M, some of his relationships could not make it to the point of walking down the aisle, and ended at the engagement phase. Actress Zoe Mthiyane was up next on Lebo’s commitment list, however, their engement came to an end within a year.
In 2019, Lebo got engaged to Malefu Ntsala, however, they called the engagement off in 2020, and recently, the couple took to social media to reveal that they will be giving marriage yet another shot with an engagement announcement.
