The Kiffness unveils “new struggle song” following Julius Malema court appearance

by Sergio Miller

Following the recent court judgement on renowned politician, Julius Malema, musical composer, The Kiffness has taken a jab at the EFF leader with the introduction of a “new struggle song”.

Earlier this year Julius Malema found himself the subject of international scrutiny after a controversial video of himself was played during President Cyril Ramaphosa’s visit to the White House where he could be heard singing the song “Kill the Boer, the farmer. Shoot to Kill,” while attending a EFF rally. However, it seems that that was only the start of a heavy storm that would later come his way.

The 44-year-old recently appeared in the East London Magistrates court for yet another incident relating to 2018 where a video emerged showing him firing several shots into the air using a semi-automatic rifle at the fifth anniversary of the Economic Freedom Fighters.

On Wednesday, the court found Julius guilty of illegal possession of a firearm and firing in a public space, while his former bodyguard Adrian Snyman was acquitted. Pre-sentencing is set to begin in January.

Opposition party, the Democratic Alliance welcomed the court’s decision adding, “South Africa’s firearm laws are clear and apply equally to all. Ordinary citizens face prosecution daily for far less. If equality before the law is to mean anything, then Malema and his cronies must face the full consequences. No political leader should ever be allowed to incite violence or flaunt the law with impunity.”

The Kiffness has his say

Following the court judgement, the Kiffness had his say on the matter and thanked AfriForum for pushing the case.

7 years ago, Malema fired off a real gun at a EFF rally. Today, the courts found him guilty of:
– unlawful possession of a firearm and ammo
– discharging a firearm in a public place
– reckless endangerment of people or property

Big thanks to @afriforum for pushing this case.
