The internet does not forget: Minnie Dlamini’s Ithumeleng Khune jabs resurfaced

by Silindokuhle Booi

The controversy surrounding Mac G’s comments about Minnie Dlamini’s past relationship with Dr. Brian Monaisa has sparked a heated debate online.

While some have defended Minnie, others have criticised her for allegedly being hypocritical. In light of this, some social media users have dug up old videos of Minnie throwing shade at Itumeleng Khune on national TV.

X user shared a video showcasing two instances where Minnie Dlamini made jokes at Itumeleng Khune’s expense. The first clip was from an episode of her TV show, Curated by Tanqueray, in November 2023, where she questioned whether Khune was still actively playing football.

The second clip was from her roast at the Showmax and Laugh Africa Comedy Festival in 2024, where she seemed to apologize for her previous jokes about Khune but ended up mocking him again by referencing a clip of him misspelling the word “apologise.”

The X user captioned the post, “Y’all remember when Minnie was throwing jabs at Khune look now karma is a b*tch.” This suggests that some people believe Minnie is now facing backlash for her past behaviour, and that Mac G’s comments are a form of karma for her previous actions.
