Khethokuhle Ngonyama popularly known as Kay Yarms  darlin, is a talented South African YouTuber and beauty influencer. She has been in the beauty industry for years now. Her story inspires many rising and aspiring makeup artists. According to her YouTube videos, she was sudying accounting at Wits but soon realised it wasn’t for her and fell in love with make-up and beauty.

The name Kay Yarms is synonymous with influence, many view her as the most influential influencer in the beauty space in South Africa. If she says you need to get something, trust and believe that it will sell out.

She recently recommended a Woolworths beauty facial toner on her Instagram stories and her followers ran to the Woolies counters so much so that Woolies noticed and made a post about it and promising their customers a restock as soon as possible.

Her followers flocked the comment section praising her influence and urging Woolworths to run her a cheque.

“Ladies and gents Kay Yarms Impact is goated!!” said @iam_dimitrinoble

“Run her her check, pls!” said @khanyi_sik

Business woman, YouTuber and content creator, Sinovuyo Mondliwa commented and said, ” Period!”

“I cannot wait . It’s totally sold out at my nearest Woolworths so I’m patiently waiting,” said @ms_dambuza

Many urged the retailer to not hike the prices as the demand has increased and we hope they listen to the people.

This wasn’t a first for Kay , last year she helped sell out the Dawn moisturizer and she ended up being in a partnership with the brand because of her influence. This was a 360 moment for her because she recommended the product only because it genuinely worked for her and wasn’t being paid to.

Many influencers can take a page out of the book of Kay Yarms and build a following that trust them enough to sell out a product they recommend. The influence should translate to sales.
