The doctor’s curse? Dr Nandipha Magudumana and Celiwe Dada, two sides of the same coin

After Dr Celiwe’s story made waves on social media, users have begun to question whether there is something in the medical profession that causes women to act a certain way as her familiar story gives them the deja vu of a certain Nandipha Magudumana.

Dr Celiwe Dada has put herself in mzansi’s spotlight as she, as many other content creators have done, took to her TikTok to share a lengthy storytime detailing the various trials, tribulations and challenges she went through at the expense of her husband whom she is now separated with.

After Dr Celiwe shared her story, users could not help but compare her to another medical doctor who made headlines for pandering to her partner, to the extent of breaking the law to commit some atrocious crimes, Nandipha Magudumana. Users cannot help but wonder whether there is something about the medical profession that encourages or allows women to act this way when in romantic relationships.

These users draw comparisons between the two women’s actions, highlighting their willingness to make misguided and misinformed decisions due to their loyalty to their partners.

However, other users have condemned the public for this comparison as they have labelled it both inaccurate and dangerous. According to these users, these two scenarios are nothing like each other as they consider Dr Celiwe as a victim of physical and financial abuse, while they deem Dr Nandipha a perpetrator who aided and abetted in illegal activities for her partner.

No. Dr Nandipha is a terrible human and has committed many crimes including being an accomplice to murder. Dr Celiwe was just a naive girl deceived by religion and church.

Comparing uCeliwe with Nandipha is just plain silly. One is a criminal another a victim so there’s that. https://t.co/Mlq3R7uTQ8
