‘That was quick’ – Internet confused as Papa Joy returns to France after recent wedding

Internet users have expressed shock at Papa Joy’s return to his birth country of France – this comes within a matter of days after he and sports super fan Joy Chauke affectionately known as Mama Joy tied the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony in Limpopo.

The loving pair first met during Joy’s brief visit to France to go and support South Africa’s national rugby team, the Springboks, at last year’s 2023 Rugby World Cup. It was then that she introduced her social media followers to her loving French boyfriend and they have been together ever since.

After experiencing several adventures together during his time in South Africa, the two have now parted ways again as he has now returned to Europe.

Taking to X(formerly Twitter) she shared some pictures of their most memorable moments in South Africa revealing how she was to see him return to France.

In her post, she wrote:

“Saying goodbye to my children was not easy. My hubby speaking to my children before going back to France.”

In another post she wrote: “It was not easy to say goodbye to Papa Joy even from my children.”

Shortly after tying the knot, the Frenchman made every effort to start his relationship with his in-laws on a good note. In one of their posts, he can be seen gifting the Chauke’s a number of gifts, including football t-shirts of the French national team.

Shocked by the sudden departure one user wrote: “That was quick.”

“So basically, you will be in a long-distance marriage?” asked another user.

Others meanwhile wished him a safe trip home and invited him to come again.
