Actress and reality TV star Thando Thabethe was not having it with Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s giggles during her virtual court appearance.

Dr Nandipha appeared virtually from the comfort of a library at the Kroonstad prison, while Thabo Bester was flanked by three Department of Correctional Services (DCS) warders at the Kgosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria, where he too appeared virtual.

Nandipha who had evidently taken the time for a full-face beat before her appearance, flashed a smile, nodded and spoke softly while addressing Magistrate Mohlolo Khabisi.

In contrast, the convicted murderer and Facebook rapist Thabo, in his Burberry hoodie, kept his hands in his pockets throughout the proceedings, while keeping a clenched jaw.

The actress, was however not thrilled with Nandipha’s smiles and giggles, making Thando question her actions.

Taking to her Twitter timeline the How To Ruin Christmas actress said:

“What on earth Is so funny, what is she smiling & laughing about.”

Many people joined in the conversation voicing their frustration on how Nandipha is being treated, with many sighting “pretty privilege” and “special treatments” are allegedly given to the doctor.

She has no conscious and doesn’t see the severity or seriousness of what she has done that’s why she keeps postponing bail and wasting resources. Arrogant and proud

Mockery of our justice system. She knows she’s get out free

She’s probably laughing at us…as in the whole country because she knows she’s gonna get off.

Dr Nandipha and Thabo’s case was postponed to June 20. It is not clear if they will appear virtually, or if the State will transport the pair to the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court.
