As a reality TV personality turned actor, Sweet Guluva is eager to showcase his talent on this new platform. Although details about his specific role are scarce, fans are excited to see him bring his charisma to the screen. He will be joining an impressive cast, including iconic actors such as Sello Maake KaNcube, Dawn Thandeka King, Warren Masemola, and Zamani Mbatha.

Not all reactions were positive. Some internet users questioned the opportunity given to Sweet Guluva:

One user said, “I pity the kids who are studying drama and arts because this is no longer about talent but numbers!”

Another expressed, “Shame BET needs to pull numbers of viewers. Now they are using Sweet Guluva for more views.”

These comments highlight the ongoing debate about talent, opportunity, and the role of reality TV personalities in the entertainment industry.

Despite the mixed reactions, fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of Black Gold on August 18, 2025, at 18:30 on DStv Channel 129.
