South African reality shows to look forward to in 2023

This year you can cuddle up, invite your girls to join you and have a binge watching party over drinks and food. You save money and you get entertainment from the comfort of your home.

The world of reality TV as a cast member can either develop you and your career or destroy your reputation. However, for viewers it is a guilty pleasure. 

Real housewives of Durban

The show is about housewives of Durban, you get to see their lavish lifestyles, drama and how they handle the pressure of constantly being scrutinized by the public. Living your life under a microscope is not easy for these housewives as past cast members have shown, they put their families on the forefront and bare it all for the public to see.

This reality show is coming gun blazing for the upcoming season to air on the 1st of February, with 4 original cast members and 3 new housewives. Will they get along? I guess we just have to wait and see.

This show is about the lives of strippers, sex workers, porn stars and aspiring entertainers, this show has been revealing a lot about the industry and why some young people choose to become sex workers.

From what we see on the trailer that was posted by 1Magic, the Gqeberha housewives are young business women who are devoted to their families and just figuring life out.

The Eastern Cape reality show will make its debut premiere on the 3rd of February 2023 on 1Magic, channel 116

This season is coming back for season 9, fans of the show can see the participants who are popularly known as “Islanders” on the much anticipated season. The show is about people who are looking for love, they undergo a selection process and thereafter stay in an island to find love and a perfect match for them amongst the group.

According to ITV, due to the popularity and viewership, the show will now have two seasons a year, 1 in summer and 2 in winter.

While we are waiting for the season release date, you have 8 seasons to binge watch.

This is definitely a show to binge watch on Netflix as we wait for season 2 set to air before June 2023.
