TV personality and entrepreneur Somizi Mhlongo was recently announced as the brand ambassador for the Kota Festival Tour.

According to news publication, IOL, the renowned festival officially returned with a bigger and better concept. Speaking at the media briefing, the founder of clothing brand, Sompire Kids emphasised the importance of making an impact in local communities, “As much as I know that the festival is growing, we need to look further down the line and say in three years what has been our contribution to this programme. We must not just be the face of the brand but contribute positively to society.”

A statement released on Instagram stated that the festival would be collaborating with the bread company, Albany for three years to empower disadvantaged people and create job opportunities for the unemployed.

Throughout his career, Somizi has been known to cook delicious meals in the kitchen and in 2020, he hosted the reality show Dinner at Somizi’s, which featured a variety of celebrities as they shared their most-loved recipes and chatted about their come-ups in their respective industries.

Despite making its debut last year, the festival will commence on the 1st of March 2025 where they will tour various provinces around the country creating unforgettable memories for all-festival goers of all ages.

The partnership between the bread company is also meant to develop skills in the kota market, as this staple food has become popular in most local communities where people enjoy the deliciousness that comes from devouring a kota.

Check out if your province is on the map for this festival:
