Solly Moholo representatives confirm R700K needed for brain surgery

by Sergio Miller

The family of gospel musician Solly Moholo has once again appealed to the public to assist them in raising funds to cover hospital bills to ensure he gets a much-needed surgery completed.

The renowned singer has been facing a serious health battle following a recent trip to promote his brand-new album, Wubani O zo Pepza, in Botswana. While there to perform, it was reported that he fell ill and was hospitalised.

While there has been a slight improvement in his condition, last week it was revealed that his health has deteriorated once again and that keeping him alive would require him to undergo brain surgery.

This weekend the family issued a statement revealing that the cost to have this operation done is R700 000.

A statement issued by his legal representatives stated:

“Solly Moholo has been admitted to a hospital for critical medical care and is currently in ICU. The medical costs associated with his treatment have accumulated to an approximate amount of R700 000.”

“Given the substantial nature of these expenses, the Molokwane family is urgently seeking financial support from the public at large as well as his associates and supporters to assist in covering his medical costs.”

The musician’s family expressed that these are challenging times they are facing and said that any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Others on social media have shared their well wishes and vowed to keep the singer in their prayers.

“Prayers, hugs, kisses and emotional support to him,” commented one user.
