Snoop Dogg Brings Love and Diversity to Kids’ TV
Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg is taking a bold step in children’s entertainment by making LGBTQ representation a key part of his animated series, Doggyland. With his trademark charm and storytelling flair, Dogg is helping kids understand that love exists in all shapes and forms.
Partnering with GLAAD, the prominent LGBTQ advocacy group, Dogg spoke to The Voice contestant Jeremy Beloate about the importance of showing children all types of families.
“It’s a beautiful thing that kids can have parents of all walks and be shown love… Love has no bounds,” he said.

Teaching Love Through Song and Story
In Doggyland, Snoop Dogg introduced a vibrant new song, Love Is Love, that celebrates family diversity. Animated pups sing about parents of all kinds, two dads, two moms, having fun together, helping children visualize different family structures in a positive, joyful way.
“It’s teaching parenthood. It’s teaching situations that kids in the world are going through right now in a beautiful way through song, dance, melody,” Dogg explained.
The catchy tune carries a simple but powerful message: love is what matters most, no matter who your parents are.
A Shift in Perspective
This wasn’t always Dogg’s approach. In August, he recounted an experience taking his grandchildren to see the movie Lightyear. A scene depicting two women raising a child together caught him off guard. His grandkids asked him tough questions, like, “How can a woman have a baby with another woman?”
“It threw me for a loop,” Dogg admitted. “It made me a bit scared to go to the movies again.”
Now, he’s transforming that uncertainty into education and inclusivity through Doggyland, creating a safe space where children can learn about love in all its forms.
Changing the Conversation About Family
By combining music, animation, and storytelling, Snoop Dogg is showing that children can understand and embrace diverse family dynamics. His goal isn’t just entertainment—it’s about guiding kids to ask questions, explore differences, and learn empathy.
“It’s a beautiful thing that kids can have parents of all walks and be shown love, to be taught what love is,” Dogg said.
Social media users have praised his initiative, with many calling it “a refreshing step in children’s programming” and “an important way to normalize LGBTQ families for the next generation.”
Doggyland is poised to be more than just a cartoon—it’s a lesson in love, acceptance, and the beauty of human diversity, all wrapped up in Snoop Dogg’s signature style.
