The Umlazi-born songwriter and singer Sneziey Msomi gained prominence through South Africa’s biggest talent search show, Idols SA. Sneziey became a fan favourite in the 15th season of the show in 2019, as she captivated the hearts of many viewers with her vocals and great power control of her enchanting voice.
Upon gaining prominence, Sneziey – who managed to secure her spot as the runner-up on the singing competition show – began to take over the gospel genre with songs such as Kungumusa Izulu, Unngubaba and many more. The public figure has also chosen to embark on the path of content creation and modelling as seen on her Instagram page.
Speaking with the Afternoon Express Show – a South African lifestyle show that airs on SABC 3 – she opened up that she had lost her mother at a tender age and was raised by her grandmother. She further explained that life was filled with many challenges and obstacles, however, through perseverance and dedication, she managed to be successful and be a beacon of hope for her grandmother.
The musician, recently took to Instagram to announce that she would be dropping an EP soon but she, however, left her supporters wondering as to when this would be as the date remained unannounced. Many of her supporters and followers played around with dates and guessed but Sneziey maintained her cool and kept the release date as a secret.
She captioned her post:

I am proud to officially announce the count down to my coming EP titled #sibongumusa ???Wanna guess the release date? While many were still impatiently waiting, the gospel artist took to Instagram again to announce that the cat’s finally out the bag as the musician has finally revealed her secret.

Sneziey will be releasing her EP this coming Friday, 24 November 2023.
