Singer, rapper, and actor Jabulani Hadebe, popularly known as Sjava recently shared on social media the inspiration behind his two singles, Ngiboniseni and Could’ve Been You.

In an Instagram post, the musician wrote, “I was sitting on this bench when I wrote Ngibongiseni and Could’ve Been You.” The image shared by Sjava below reveals what the artist was not only looking at but also what he was feeling at that time. The green scenery, the mountains and nature in its entirety are what brought the vision of the two songs to life.

According to SA Hiphop Mag, “Ngiboniseni is a track celebrated for its heartfelt expression of appreciation and Could’ve Been You which reflects on missed opportunities and what might have been, are standout songs in the Sjava Isibuko project.”

The above source also shared, “Sjava is known for his deeply emotional and reflective lyrics, often drawn from personal experiences and his environment. The serene setting he described likely played a crucial role in shaping the songs’ mood and tone, both resonating with themes of introspection, gratitude, and unspoken connections.”
