Sjava pens supportive note to Nicki Minaj

by Sergio Miller

South African musician Sjava has made it clear that he is a big Nicki Minaj fan when he penned a message of support to the Super Bass singer.

Nicki recently took to X (formely known as Twitter) to thank her “Barbz” (fans) for their unwaivering support. The singer recently released her lastest album Pink Friday 2 earlier this month which did extremely well earning the number one spot on the Billboard charts, despite the criticism that this one didn’t live up to the success of the first one.

In a message to her fans, she wrote: “Dear Barbz, you did it. Thank you so much. Thank you so much, barbz. Thank you so much. Love always, HB.”

Meanwhile one of her biggest fans Sjava, would not let the opportunity pass him by before he could say something.

What better way to express himself than by doing it in his mother tongue. The rapper in return responded to Nicki’s post with words of encouragement in IsiZulu.

“Khululeka sizohlale sikweseka njalo Qhawe ngeke basenze lutho masibambisene singama barbz siyonqoba njalo,” the uMama hitmaker tweeted.

This is directly translated to say: “Don’t worry, we will always support you. They won’t do anything to us, let’s work together as barbz and we will always win.”

After seeing this Mzansi was left in stitches, with many praising him for his humorous spirit.

Furthermore, the rapper has always been open about being a “Ken”, a name given to a collective group of male Nicki Minaj fans.

Earlier this year he asked fans whether they knew about her latest song at the time Pound Town 2, to which he later admitted that he was a big fan and not a day goes buy that he didn’t listen to Nicki Minaj.
