Sip & Talk: Dineo Ranaka gets ready for upcoming talk show

by Sergio Miller

After continuous battles with depression, former Kaya FM radio presenter Dineo Ranaka has recollected all the broken pieces of her life and is using it to redefine herself.

The 39-year-old will soon be hosting her brand-new talk show, Sip & Talk.

In each episode Dineo invites some well-known public figures into her apartment to get up close and personal while no topic is off limits, from public mourning, marriage troubles, overcoming addiction, and the challenges of fame – she covers it all.

This is a big move for Dineo who had been having some serious battles with depression earlier this year.

The consequences of her state led her to be “fired” by her former employer Kaya FM – merely a year after joining her radio family.

At the time the station’s managing director Collon Louw issued a statement highlighting that Dineo never shared her struggles with them, she simply went AWOL (Absent Without Leave).

They later learned about the struggles via social media and tried everything they could to help – including finding a mental institution, only to hear that she booked herself out again.

Meanwhile, Dineo recently shared some reflections of her own via social media.

“Remind me, who are you competing with again? NO ONE!

“Focus is more important than intelligence so just FOCUS! Focus on YOUR day-to-day! Not anyone else’s but yours!
“…It’s hard and your well-being will take strain but let me tell you something, if you’re willing to focus, isolate, work hard/smart and reflect… you’ll be healthy. You’ll be ok.

“There’s not a single human who has all their s*** together so just focus on you mate ?????? Stay trying.
“THANK GOD Kaya fired me ?️?️?️?️??️?️?️actually it wasn’t Kaya that fired me, GOD DID! ??,” she ended.
