Podcaster Penuel ‘”The Black Pen” Mlotshwa is famous for creating conversations that raise a lot of eyebrows on X formerly known as Twitter.

The podcaster who is an advocate for the presence of fathers in their children’s lives recently shared a light joke that rubbed some of his followers the wrong way, commenting that single women with kids over the age of 35 years were an immediate red flag.

“Single women over the age of 35 are an immediate red flag ?. Worse if they have kids… ??‍♂️
…brace yourself, bafo. Basop vir die hond!”

Single women over the age of 35 are an immediate red flag ?

Worse if they have kids… ??‍♂️

…brace yourself, bafo. Basop vir die hond!

— Penuel The Black Pen (@GodPenuel) December 31, 2023

Even though the statement had a light tone, some people did not find it funny.

You went around SA impregnating women and leaving them with kids now you’re calling them red flags…shame on you..you’re the biggest red flag they should have spotted before they laid with you in bed

— Zó (@PJMoneyMan3k) December 31, 2023

One user asked if the statement only referred to women or for both sexes.

Can’t the same be said about single men over the age of 35 years old? ?

“Worse if they have kids… ??‍♂️”? ?

The podcaster responded saying that men were exempted from the statement.

Unfortunately not.

Men are valued on money, not age
Women on looks & fertility

Another user got personal adding that the podcaster’s kid’s mothers will one day be the red flags he was referring to and be loved by great stepdads.

Don’t worry, your kids will one day have very great step dads. Someone will love those women and raise up families. I mean a stepdad that’ll even sponsor your broadcasting career.
