This women’s month, Sizoze Sibuye Foundation and Love Infinity Media have joined forces to provide the masses with a nine-day festival, with various festivities on the programme.  The festival will run from 1 August until the 9th and will be held at the Constitutional Hill jail.

Hosted annually, She Fest aims to not only celebrate the women in our country but also acknowledge and appreciate their role throughout South Africa’s journey with democracy. Furthermore, the festival aims to empower these women from different walks of life and create a safe and inclusive space to share their journeys.

The festival is set to include a comprehensive programme filled with festivities such as a gala awards dinner where attendees will be dressed to the nines, art exhibitions, film screenings as well as performances by some of South Africa’s most influential female artists like Buhlebendalo Mda, Dj Fae Fae and many more. The illustrious Dr Estheer Mahlangu will also have an art exhibition available.

Taking to their Instagram page, the festival’s event organisers shared the vision they had for this year’s edition of the annual event, promising the masses a fun-filled event with a dynamic fusion of festivities.

“This year we are reflecting on progress and celebrating South African Women and their part in 30 Years of Democracy! Kick-off Women’s Month celebrations with ConHill,” the caption reads.

When speaking to Primedia, marketing coordinator for Constitution Hill Rethabile Maifadi said “This festival is celebrating women who have made a mark – so women in our past who made an impact, fought for freedom and human rights. To this day, we are celebrating women who are making a change and mark today,”
