It has been three months since the tragic passing of his 9-year-old daughter, and the controversial rapper Shebeshxt has finally spoken out about the events that occurred on that night.

In June the Limpopo-born rapper whose real name is Lehlogonolo Chauke was involved in a horrific accident in June of this year. This comes as he was traveling to perform at an ANC rally. En route to the venue, his Volkswagen Polo collided with a heavy motor vehicle and overturned.

Accompanying him was his daughter, Onthatile Chuene who tragically lost her life in the incident.

Recently the grieving dad decided to break his silence on how he was dealing with her loss.

News publication Daily Sun reported that Shebeshxt was speaking at the launch of his one-man show which takes place on the 21st of September.

Speaking at the event, he addressed all false narratives about what happened on the night, including rumours that he had consumed alcohol.

“People said I was intoxicated, but on that night, I didn’t even touch any alcohol. I know I always get judged, but I wonder what made people think I had consumed alcohol and continue peddling lies,” he said.

He also revealed how he nearly quit music entirely in an effort to become a changed man and make an honest living.

“She’s the reason I wanted to change my life. I wanted to leave my old ways of doing crime and be a better person for her. But now, I know she might not be here in person, but she’s a spirit.”

It was reported that Shebeshxt had spent weeks in hospital following the horrific collision, another woman who accompanied the two also sustained minor injuries.

Enough about Samthing Soweto, in a recent video Shebeshxt breaks silence and speaks about loosing his daughter and gives thanks to the likes of Julius Malema pic.twitter.com/GdwUS1Uacz
