Not too long ago, Shauwn Mkhize was entangled in a tax evasion scandal, subsequently leading to her losing ownership of her Royal AM football club. Recently, the businesswoman and reality TV star popped out in Eswatini as the new president of Mbabane FC.

It is no secret that Shauwn Mkhize’s life and career have been anything but rainbows and skittles, as the businesswoman has had various encounters with the law. These encounters date back to the early 2000s, when she and her then-husband, Sbu Mpisane, were faced with various criminal investigations relating to fraud.

A few months ago, her failure to pay taxes prompted a search and seizure by SARS, as a broader effort to crack down on issues like fraud and tax evasion. Due to a combination of financial instability, unpaid debts, and failure to honour domestic fixtures, Royal AM was expelled from the Betway Premier Soccer League (PSL), and faces possible liquidation.

The Full Judgement Against Shaun Mkhize And Royal AM

The judgement details are staggering and show that the league was misled on a number of occasions and that the league probably had enough reason to expel the club even prior to the club going into administration.

With all of  the chaos and drama currently surrounding Shauwn, the public was surprised to find out that she has opted to embark on a different venture, in a different country.

In a recent event, the construction mogul was announced as Mbabane FC’s newest president. In her young tenure as president, Shauwn has already added her identity into the club. She has added ‘AM’ to the club’s name in honour of her son Andile Mpisane, making the team’s new name Mbabane AM FC.

Furthermore, she added gold to the team’s existing black and white colours, citing a form of unity between South Africa and Eswatini.
