Big Zulu had his much anticipated fight yesterday against a member of the White Collar Boxing team. This comes after his disappointment in Cassper Nyovest’s inability to set a date for a boxing match that he had requested.

The Inkabi record label owner knocked out his opponent in the first round in full view of many friends and fans. The boxing match titled ‘Clash of Chiefs’ took place at Craighall Park in Randburg.

Previously speaking to Tshisa Live, Big Zulu mentioned that he started training after Cassper had challenged him to a match. However, Cassper, according to him, got cold feet and went quiet.

Big Zulu shared,“The way that I am going to gym and everything is because Cassper challenged me and wanted to box with me. So as someone who grew up in the village who always takes up a challenge, I accepted. So he ended up disappearing when we were supposed to go through with it. He disappeared and I had already started.”

Cassper, who attended the match, congratulated Big Zulu on his win and teased him of being slow. Big Zulu responded by saying, “Umangabe ngi slow ayiwuyibeki ngani i date? (If I’m slow, why don’t you set our boxing date)”

Big Zulu added that he was waiting for a boxing date after Cassper did not oppose his request.

Twitter users had mixed feelings about the match. Some wrote that he wasn’t strong enough for Cassper while others claimed Cassper would not last in the ring with the Inkabi hitmaker.

One thing I realized about this boxing thing, you’re only good when you’re outside…when you get in the ring it’s another story. Look at heavy Zulu now

It might not be clear when we will see these two hip-hop giants go head-to-head in a boxing ring. It is, however, very clear that the public is waiting in anticipation.

For now, we wait for the big reveal.
