Sello Maake kaNcube reportedly suffers more losses following divorce announcement

While he may be known for his stellar acting, Sello Maake kaNcube has inadvertently taken the spotlight for his recent divorce filing from his estranged wife, Pearl Mbewe Maake kaNcube.

As a result of the split, ZiMoja reports that the multi-award-winning actor is allegedly losing money and exclusively confirmed that Sello was dropped as a brand ambassador by Budget Insurance.

According to the publication, a source close to Sello confirmed that the deal was worth millions of rands, enough to fund the actor’s lavish lifestyle. Apart from the lost endorsement, a source also claims that Sello is losing his role in the popular telenovela, Championships on Mzansi Magic. An unnamed individual in the series’ production team revealed to ZiMoja that Sello’s character, Washington, will be killed off as the actor has not been doing justice to the role.

“He will still get paid until the end of the season but he is out,” said the source.

As previously reported, Sello’s marriage to Pearl is his third. His second marriage to Palesa Mboweni reportedly ended eight months after they said their “I dos.”

Sello later labelled Palesa as a con artist who only got with him for money with rumours that she allegedly tried to change her kids’ surname to Maake kaNcube for them to benefit from his estate.

According to Shwashwi, the actor’s marital troubles started when he sent sweet messages to his alleged former lover, Cynthia ‘Lacoste’ Hlahla, who is based in the United States.

A close relative told the publication, “She [Lacoste] said he was just pretending to love her, saying she knew he was in love with Pearl. She even asked him to be honest with her and tell her if he wants her to help him leave South Africa for the US instead of lying about having the hots for her.”

It is said that after Pearl discovered the messages, the couple fought, leading Sello to kick her out of their home.
