South African actor and music artist Sicelo Buthelezi popular known as Seekay continues with his acting career as he joins the Skeem Saam (a soapie that airs on SABC 1 weekdays at 19:30) family.

A lot of people might remember Seekay as Teddy who was popular for his role as a high school child living with an alcoholic mother in the Mzansi Magic Telenovela Gomora, where he made his first appearance with his role ending late last year.

While many people were still stunned with his acting skills, Seekay did not shy away to also try and pursue the music career which also worked in  his favour, giving him more exposure as he worked with prominent artists such as Tyler ICU, Emtee, Musa Keys and Mr JazziQ.

He recently released a new song Location featuring Tshepi, Deestar, Alxapo and Dotmega.

Taking to his Instagram, he shared a series of what looks like scenes of his new Skeem Saam role as Tobias Toby Mashwahla. In his caption he put two emojis which are used to represent an announcement.

Many of his fans, industry friends and former colleagues took to his comment section and congratulated him on his new role, Thembi Seete and Jessica Nkosi being part of those people.

Another colleague said, “We are so happy for you Seekay. Privileged to be shooting alongside you. Congratulations once more.”
