Scotts Maphuma reportedly arrested in Mozambique

by Nomonde Simelane

Rising amapiano star Scotts Maphuma appears to be down and out of luck recently, as his reputation and status in the industry was on shaky grounds as of late. To add salt to his fresh wound, the youngster faced an encounter with law enforcement in Mozambique.

Scotts Maphuma is one of the many young personalities that have quickly become the face of the amapiano vocals, as his infectious and unique vocal bits have taken mzansi and the world by storm. The Uyaphapha Marn hit maker recently made headlines after garnering some backlash for not wanting to take pictures and videos with his fans.

Social media users from across the country put the youngster on blast for his unsavoury attitude towards them, which resulted in Scotts Maphuma issuing a public apology to his fans.

Recently, it appears Scotts Maphuma faced a brief encounter with Mozambique’s law enforcement, after reportedly failing to show up for the annual Children’s Day festival gig he was booked for, despite announcing via social media that he was on his way.

Soon after the artist landed in Mozambique, a video of him being questioned by authorities in a holding cell hit the internet, causing various reactions from fans and foes.
