After successfully hosting exhilarating events in Miami and New York, dropping the ball was not an option for the Piano People in the Park event organisers. The highly anticipated event brought the spirit of amapiano across oceans and mountains for the people of London to experience.
The Scorpion Kings, a DJ duo made up of maestros Dj Maphorisa and Kabza de Small, were accompanied by some of South Africa’s biggest amapiano names to deliver what can only be described as a monumental performance that set the streets of Southwark Park into a buzz. “Piano People is all about expanding the global footprint of Amapiano & continuing to further deliver something truly unique and culturally important to an audience that has been traditionally under-served,” explains the event’s website.
After the Louis Vuitton store reportedly closed down to allow the Scorpion Kings to browse and shop comfortably, the duo had no choice but to bring the people an unforgettable performance engraved in their memories for a long time.
