South African actor Matthews Rantsoma who plays Nhlamulo, one of the main characters in Scandal, is set to exit the series.

According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, the fan-favourite character Nhlamulo played by Matthews Rantsoma is written out of Scandal, while details regarding the exit remain undisclosed.

“Matthews Rantsoma dropped by Scandal. The actor, who joined the ETV soapie in 2021, will be leaving the show. Rantsoma plays Nhlamulo on the show,” Mphela posted on his X (formally known as Twitter) account.

The character Nhlamulo made his debut in 2021 and left female fans weak-kneed. His lingo was so poetic that it earned the actor the nickname of “Kasi Shakespeare” as reported by IOL.

He became a household name when he joined the E.TV soapie and trended for his love for his on-screen wife Nomvelo Makhanya who played Lindiwe Ngema.
