Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and captain Ronwen Williams is the man of the moment after he managed to qualify our soccer national team for the semi-finals of the AFCON 2023, at Ivory Coast when he saved, not one but four penalty attempts, giving South Africa a lead of two goals to one.

This win comes at a time when South Africa is proving its worth to the whole world in an impressive way both in sports and in the entertainment scenes. In the South African sporting scene, Bafana Bafana had to prove themselves to mzansi citizens as they had started losing faith in them, after being unable to qualify for some soccer tournaments over the years by suffering several losses.

Bafana Bafana will now battle the Nigerian national team at the semi-final game on Wednesday, 7 February. If they move to win that, they will face a winning team between the hosting country Ivory Coast and DR Congo on Sunday the 11th of February.

After many people expressed their pride and joy at Ronwen’s amazing skill, portrayed at the quarter-finals, they expressed their thoughts on many social media platforms including X, formerly known as Twitter.

Many South African celebrities took to social media platforms to give praise to the Sundowns goalkeeper.

Cassper Nyovest was one of those who commented:
