South African 100-meter sprinter Akani Simbine has officially struck gold. Taking to his Instagram social media account, the rapid finisher wasted no time in announcing that he is officially off the market.

In a post that was well received by many of his followers, Akani shared a snippet of his wife and himself on their wedding day.

Dressed in tadeonal attire which features a blend of black and white colours, the recently announced Mrs Akani is seen looking flawlessly beautiful.

Another picture shows the couple appearing together as the track star embraces his wife as he donned a purple floral jacket which matches the colour of her dress.

In the caption, he wrote:

“Forever Yena.”

In the comment section were several well-known personalities from both the sport and entertainment industry, who all had well wishes for the newly wedded couple.

Springbok and Stormers rugby player Courtnal Skosan were among one of the first to congratulate the pair.

“Congratulations meneer! Blessing to you both! ❤️”

Another notable rugby star to share his best wishes was Hacjivah Dayimane who wrote: “Congrats my G ?.”

While rapper and reality star Boity added: “??????Congraulations❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

It is reported that the track runner previously had his fair share in romantic heartbreak throughout the years.

After a public engagement to netball player Jo Prins in 2021, he later went silent which led many to assume that the engagement was called off, as she no longer wore the ring.

However, it seems that the 30-year-old has now officially found his happily ever after.
