Robot Boii dominates Top 16 Youth-Owned Awards with double win

by Samantha Mochele

Robot Boii has emerged victorious at the prestigious Top 16 Youth-Owned Awards, clinching not one, but two awards. The event which celebrates young entrepreneurs and their groundbreaking contributions to celebrate and recognise youth-owned brands for not only contributing to the economy of South Africa but also creating jobs in a country where the unemployment rate amongst the youth is a huge problem.

Taking to Instagram he posted a picture of him holding the two awards and thanking everyone who voted.

Robot Boii recently trended, receiving backlash from other social media users, after it emerged that he was with singer JazzQ when he was allegedly made sexual advances on Ngcebo Mcobothi, a freelance content producer for YFM.

According to TshisaLIVE the radio show producer alleged that JazzQ grabbed her waist and attempted to forcibly kiss her in an elevator at the station’s offices just before his interview.

Robot Boii, who was also present in the lift, stated that Ngcebo fabricated the story, claiming he only heard JazziQ complimenting her on how warm she looked in her blanket-like dress.

Regarding the incident, Robot Boii discussed the legal process, stating that a case has been filed and the truth is in the statement.

“The law is the law. A case has been opened. The truth is in the statement. We are waiting because we are doing things the right way. The same way it should have happened from her side, where she should have opened a case,” he said.
