Ringo Madlingozi (born Sindile Madlingozi )is a multi-talented South African artist, singer, songwriter, record producer, and politician.

He rose to fame after winning the Shell Road to Fame contest with his band Peto in 1986.

As a musician, Ringo is known for his Afro-Soul and R&B genres, with hits like Green-Green and Vukani. He has released several albums, including Vukani, Sondelani, and Buyisa.

Ringo has won numerous awards for his music, including multiple South African Music Awards (SAMAs) and Kora Awards.

Beyond music, Ringo ventured into politics in 2019, becoming a Member of Parliament in South Africa’s sixth democratic government. He was a member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party. However, his political career has been marred by controversy, including accusations of expressing racist views.

Ringo has also made headlines for his personal life, including his marriage to Nomfundo Nyathi from 2004 to 2023 and his six children.
