Reality star Jojo Robinson took to Instagram on Wednesday, 12 April to announce that she will not return to The Real Housewives of Durban.

This announcement came after cast members’ discussion of Jojo’s husband Calven Robinson’s second heart surgery in the latest episode of the Housewives franchise.

In her Instagram stories, Jojo mentioned the reason for her decision, saying, “Bringing my husband into this s*** and then watching everyone laughing about serious issues. His father passed of a heart issue a few months before these episodes were shot. It’s NOT a joke topic. I actually feel sick watching this show.”

She also apologised to the young girls who watch the franchise, saying this is not how friendships should be.

“This is not okay. Toxic behaviour like this is not normal and please DON’T think it is.” She continued, “We as a group had a massive platform to inspire our young girls and instead we have shown nothing but how to hate and fight.”

Jojo also personally apologised for anything she had done to add to the alleged toxic behaviour on the show.

In another Instagram story, Jojo mentioned that she was bullied at school and spent her lunch breaks eating in the bathroom. “… and here I am watching similar things happening again on national TV for the whole country to see.”

Jojo added, “The whole country gets to watch this s***. People laughing at us and telling us to foetsak at the dinner table and clapping when we left.”
