Reverend Mawuzole Mlombi and his wife, Nandipha affectionately known as Queen Nandi, have rekindled their romance after Queen Nandi claimed that the central district bishop of the Methodist Church advised her husband, Reverend Mawuzole to divorce her.
The couple, who gained attention on Pastors’ Wives, faced public scrutiny and personal challenges. Sunday World reported that Queen Nandi accused church leaders of mistreating her husband, Reverend Mawuzole after he was suddenly removed from his position at the Bedfordview Methodist Church and was told to leave the mission house. Nandi claims that Faith Whitby, the bishop in charge of Methodist churches in Gauteng and North West, is trying to ruin their marriage.
In a previous interview with DRUM, Nandi revealed that they were instructed to vacate the church mission house, which had applied for an eviction order. Despite this, Queen Nandi did not comply with the order and was forcefully evicted. She also shared a video on social media showing her belongings being thrown outside after she refused to leave the mission house.
Reverend Mlombi recently spoke to the above-mentioned publication about their separation and the consideration of divorce. He attributed their split to a mix of work and church-related stress, disagreements over social media, and his health issues. Reflecting on their marriage during a stay in the Eastern Cape, they are exploring ways to rebuild it. Despite everything, Reverend Mlombi says their love for each other is still strong.
“I was by myself when I decided to marry her. I love her dearly. Even when I wanted to divorce her, I still loved her. Our love has never died,” Reverend Mlombi shared.
