After being hospitalised for several days, singer Rethabile Khumalo is back home where she belongs.

The Umjolo hitmaker recently found herself at the top of countless headlines after she spent multiple days in the hospital and undergoing surgeries following an alleged food poisoning incident.

The news was confirmed by her mother Winnie Khumalo who took to social media, asking fans to keep her daughter in prayer, as she was said to have been “fighting for her life.”

According to Winnie, the singer was allegedly poisoned by a jealous friend.

In a follow-up interview with news and entertainment publication Daily Sun, Winnie later provided an update on her daughter’s progress stating,

“I am not doing well at the moment. We are praying that she gets better. She’s still in the hospital as we speak. We are hopeful that she’ll recover soon,” she said.
