The self-proclaimed artist, Lebani Serijene, is proof of just how much one can improve if one stays committed to the goal of perfecting your craft.

Despite receiving tons of hard criticism for his portraits of some of our country’s most influential personalities in the past, Lebani – more popularly known as Rasta the artist has attempted to create a portrait painting of one of South Africa’s newly elected Minister Gayton McKenzie.

The well-known author, businessman, and leader of the political group, the Patriotic Alliance was recently sworn in as the new Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, a department that Rasta is interested in given his passion.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) Rasta unveiled a picture along with a video introducing his artwork.

He later shared a congratulatory message for the new minister, writing:

Congratulations Gayton Mckenzie on your new role of Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture!

“Your portrait is waiting for you at the studio, ready to hang proudly in your office.”

The picture depicts Gayton in the most realistic way possible, covered in his favourite Adidas apparel jacket.

Taking to the comment section many shared how amazed they were at how Rasta has finally got his portraits right this time around.

How is this so accurate? ???

Given his previous track record for messing up the portraits of other celebrities he has painted, one user jokingly questioned whether Rasta has been cloned.

What did you do with the real Rasta? AI Rasta this one ?

Another meanwhile added that this piece of work has finally earned the Zimbabwean artist, South African citizenship.

I declare Rasta as South African
