Businesswoman Rachel Kolisi recently stepped down as CEO of the Kolisi Foundation after her divorce from Springbok captain Siya Kolisi.

The doting mother, co-founded the Foundation in 2019 alongside Siya with a vision to change the stories of inequality in South Africa and to see communities thrive in their own right; by creating safe spaces through sport and education, addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and contributing to food security.

The news about Rachel’s exit from the Foundation was shared on social media by The Justice Desk, an anti-GBV NGO.

Taking to their Instagram page, The Justice Desk shared snaps of Rachel’s farewell. In the caption, they said: “This morning, we had the privilege of joining fellow GBV organisations to surprise Rachel with a heartfelt farewell. Her unwavering support for our work, especially through the iNtsika yeThemba and Mbokodo Programs, has been truly impactful.”

They added that they were saddened to learn that she had stepped down as CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, but they know that she will continue to do incredible things. She will always be a GBV activist at heart, and her impact will be felt for years to come.

In response to the heartwarming message shared and the farewell contribution, Rachel said: “Love and appreciate you all so much.”

Meanwhile, Rachel announced recently that she is launching a 21-day fitness challenge that she calls “simple, easy, and super effective.”

She took to her Instagram page to share that she is partnering with Jeff Fitness, a company that offers remote exercise guidance through its app. The challenge starts on the 10th of  March.

“I have received thousands of messages from women all over the world sharing their stories of heartbreak, loss, devastation and disparity,” Rachel wrote on Instagram, announcing the challenge.

“And almost always they ask, ‘Where did you start your healing journey?'” she continued. “It was here. Exercising.”
