by Bongiwe Mati

Multi award winning deejay, Prince Kaybee faced a lot of backlash from social media users after he declared his love and support of the New Zealand famously known as the All Blacks in the World Cup final. The deejay did this adding that he wished the All Blacks would win the Rugby World Cup 2023 against our boys the Springboks.

This he shared in a series of X posts (formerly known as Tweets) where he angered many social media users leaving some to add that they will never listen or support his music.

Before the match started the Gugulethu hitmaker shared that posts about his lobe for his team adding:

“As an All Blacks supporter this is the first time we coming in as the underdog, this time from the haka to the final whistle it will be chaos and I love it??.”

After the pronouncement, a series of posts followed where the deejay stood his ground proudly sharing that his blood was black but he would still congratulate Springbok if they won.

He then shared a post of a fellow All Blacks fan who shared that the All Blacks would win:

Asked by one user why he supports the All Blacks, the Charlotte hitmaker responded by saying he loves their “style of play, adaptive planning with sheer brilliance of “ball in hand” and the support they show the ball carrier is exceptional”. He also added that he wasn’t into kick rugby, also apologising if he hurt anyone with his preference.

I support the All Blacks because of their style of play, adaptive planning with sheer brilliance of “ball in hand” and the support they show the ball carrier is exceptional. I’m just not into kick rugby. Sorry if my preference offends you??❤️?? https://t.co/ygexKuaWtl

He then shared a picture of his boys anticipating a beautiful game of rugby.

Responding to someone who told him that he’d be the only person supporting the All Blacks, the deejay responded by adding  All Blacks jerseys were sold out in most parts of Mzansi.

Not really, there’s more than you have anticipated, also the All Blacks jerseys are sold out in most parts of South Africa.

Enjoy the game, if you win good for you, if you lose its also ok. https://t.co/Sfsjht64h1 pic.twitter.com/6AFHobT8XV

After a series of posts where the deejay responded to many people who were ticked off by his posts, he congratulated the Springbok and took his loss adding:

An amazing game indeed. You boys played your hearts out but unfortunately kick rugby won. Congratulations to the Springboks. pic.twitter.com/xWjDZkIQx2

We were warned of Clout chasers like you Kaybee.
