Prince Kaybee Shuts Down Talk of Reuniting With TNS

The Question Everyone Wants Answered

Earlier this week, a fan asked Prince Kaybee whether he would ever make peace with his former collaborator TNS. The response was blunt and final: no. With that single word and a smile, the DJ closed the door on rumours that the two might someday reconcile.

Since their very public fallout in 2019, the relationship between Kaybee and TNS has been a subject of speculation, discussions, and memes across social media. But with his latest reply, Kaybee seems to signal that this chapter is firmly over.

How It All Began

Their split traces back to heated exchanges over credits, public statements, and personal remarks. At one point, Kaybee revealed in an interview that TNS had experienced financial hardship—claims that ignited backlash. TNS countered by accusing Kaybee of denying him recognition for certain tracks, including “Club Controller.” An apology followed, but the divide remained.

For fans, Banomoya remains a classic: the 2018 hit brought Kaybee, TNS, and Busiswa together and is still played in clubs, on the radio, and at events across South Africa. The contrast between their once-friendship and today’s silence is stark.

Public Reaction: Support, Disappointment, Reflection

As expected, reactions poured in. Some sided with Kaybee, saying that trust cannot always be restored. Others expressed disappointment because they hoped the two would heal and collaborate again. A few long-time fans lamented that the entertainment industry is full of talented pairings that couldn’t keep the harmony offstage.

On social media, many brought up the power of forgiveness and the weight of ego in creative spaces. Others reflected more personally—how they, too, ended friendships when trust was broken.

More Than Music: Context in the Industry

In South Africa’s music world, collaboration is currency. In this industry, every move, credit, private deal, and public perception carries weight. When a falling out occurs, it affects not only the artists but also their reputations, future partnerships, and fan bases.

What we see here is not just two artists parting ways. It’s a lesson in how creative bonds are tied to personal respect, financial transparency, and public accountability.

What This Means for TNS and Kaybee’s Future

Kaybee’s stance suggests that he has moved on. Whether TNS will respond remains to be seen. It’s possible that each artist now walks a different creative path, free from past entanglements.

For listeners, this moment reminds us that music isn’t divorced from the people who make it. The stories behind songs, the relationships that birthed them, and the emotional tides that come with them—they matter. Sometimes closure does not require reunion, and strength can lie in setting boundaries.
