No one is safe on socials, this time the well-known musician Prince Kaybee born as Kabelo Motsamai faces the wrath of internet users as he stands accused of stealing a former Idols SA contestant’s song.

The emerging artist, Bothlale Phora reckons he sent his song to Prince Kaybee in 2021 via email, on TikTok and sent him a direct message on Messenger asking for his thoughts on the song.

Bothlale said he made the realisation after Prince Kaybee challenged upcoming artists to jump into a sound he shared on his socials, that’s when he reminded him via email that he sent this song and asked the prominent musician to use his vocals for the song at least.

Upon his request, the young artist alleges that he was blocked on TikTok and sworn at by Prince Kaybee after he exposed him on Facebook.

Prince Kaybee responded to the allegations on X (formerly Twitter):

Hey Paballo, the intention was not to insult anyone, I got worked up by the allegations that aren’t true. I still stand by my previous stance, I don’t know him, I have never received or replicated his song and I do not use that email address because I have a personal email. To… https://t.co/YijXL3q3P7

X users had this to say:

Don’t know much about music besides consuming it, but haikhona Prince Kaybee https://t.co/88EGURihdS pic.twitter.com/CM8tlBzqHs

Prince Kaybee literally went on social media to insult this guy who claims he stole his song and denied the allegations. Only for the guy to post proof and that he registered his song.

I always wondered why I hated Prince Kaybee and now I have a valid reason.
