Primo Baloyi reveals his biggest campaign payment

by Sergio Miller

Despite being the son to South African football legend Lucas Radebe, young ambitious content creator Primo Baloyi is on a mission to forge his own legacy in the entertainment industry.

The talented creative is well known for having produced numerous interactive skits via his Instagram and TikTok accounts.

His journey started back in 2020 when President Cyril Ramaphosa implemented an initial 21-day national lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic that was causing worldwide concern.

To date he now has more than 200 000 followers on Instagram and 1 million on Tik Tok respectively.

Primo as he refers to himself, recently sat down on the Hustlers Corner Podcast where he had a chat with the host, well known personality DJ Sbu, to talk about his prominent rise in the creative scene and the success that has come with it.

With so many creatives being approached by big brands to collaborate on content Sbu later asked the question that many of his followers were dying to know…what was the biggest cheque that he ever received?

It was clearly a question that caught Primo off-guard. He hesitatingly replied saying:

“The highest SMS I’ve ever received that went ting? The highest I’ve ever received was R200 000. One time. I checked my phone. I went to the toilet.”

Shockingly Sbu asked: “Yoh! Out of creating content.”

Primo explained that the payment is for a month’s worth of content, but that it took him four days to complete the project.

“The highest cheque I’ve recieved for one campaign is R200k, one SMS, cling-cling…” ???

Last year the 30-year-old told publication Sowetan Live that his main objective is to put a smile on peoples faces.

“I just like seeing happy faces all around me. Spreading hilarious laughter and cheer is what genuinely makes me happy,” he said.
